Introduction

     The Department of Political Science Was started during the year 1983 has till now completed 40years of fruitful academic service to all sectors of the society the department teaching Political Science to B.A.&B.COM students .the Department is very well known for its quality education imparting to the student by well experienced and eminent lectures. Guest lectures and periodical Seminars have been conducted during every academic year to help the student to Update their Knowledge and skills . Teaching faculty contribute significantly in the overall development of students . The Department is teaching Political Science as optional subject to the students facilitating them to acquire the B.A.& B.COM Degree . The curriculum is set by the Gulbarga University. The department is also giving counseling to the students to motivate their students and overcome the difficulties faced by them during their course of students.
The department gives importance for the development of the personality of the individual and makes them worthy citizen of our great country . Towards accomplishing the above objectives. The department has sound infrastructural facilities in addition to a motivated team of faculty members . the department The department organizes regular seminars and various value added programs for the holistic development of the students.
Apart from academic coaching the Department also offers special coaching for various competitive examination and give Knowledge on research and research methodology which help students to take –up research activity in their further students . In This way the performance and efficiency of the department can be assessed by looking the results which are always high during the past years. Hence the department is putting a continuous effort to equip itself to face the global challenges of the present era.

•INTIALLY THE DEPARTMENT HAD TWO APPROVAL POSTS OF POST OF ASST PROFESSOR
• THE FACULTIES OF DEPARMENT ARE ENGAGING CLASSES EVEN FOR B.AAND B. COM STUDENTS BECOUSE THE GULBARGA UNIVERSITY HAS MADE INDIAN CONSTITUTION AS COMPUSORY SUBJECT ALL STREAMS.
