BACHELOR OF ARTS ( B.A. )
Admission is open for both Male & Female students as it’s a co-education college.
The college follows non elitist polices of admission, in keeping with its ideals of education to all and social justice. Smt. Chinnamma Basappa Patil arts and commerce Degree College have the academic value the understanding of the society and cultural process that the social sciences provide when pursued with interest. Each of the combinations offered will give the student a true multidisciplinary perspective into contemporary affairs. As per University regulation Basic subject represents the Languages and following are optional subjects.
BASIC SUBJECT: Students have to select any two Indian Languages they are:
- Kannada
- English
- Hindi
- Urdu.For both B.A /B.Com UG courses
For all UG courses like B.A/B.Sc/B.Com/BCA.
OPTIONAL SUBJECTS: optional subjects are offered in four combinations they are as follows.
- History , Kannada, Sociology,
- History, Economics, Political Science
- History, Political Science, Rural Development
- History, Economics, Computer Application.
CRITERIA FOR B.A. I-SEMESTER
- A Candidate who has passed the two years Pre-University Examination of Karnataka State or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto is eligible for admission to first semester of B.A. Degree Course.

A Candidate who has passed the two years Pre-University Examination of Karnataka State or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto is eligible for admission to first semester of B.A. Degree Course. A Candidate who has passed two-year job oriented Pre-University Diploma examination conducted by the Director of Vocational Education, Government of Karnataka (Excluding the subject in the existing regulations).
